Some pictures and video of a fly-by over the powerplant. Looks pretty bad.

Any news on the radioactivity levels?

Poor result for me as well, quite surprised I'm up two places.

If only Petrov didn't want to reach the stars and/or drive like Meg Simpson, I could have got the best points of our subleague.

Oh well. At least two places up. Things are getting interesting.

Damn Petrov!! Severed my points.

At least now he'll be on the X-Games as well, Formula 1 Freestyle...

Have to agree on Moose's side here.

My answers:

Stopped by police
Never.

Use mobile while driving
Never. Usually ask for the passenger (if any) to get the call/text something, or I just park the car and do what I have to do.

Made an insurance claim for an accident
Never.

Ran a red light in the past 12 months
Yes, somewhat often. When it's late at night, streets are empty, and robbery/kidnapping etc. are common stuff, you just check if there are any cars coming and then go.

Driven the wrong way down a one-way-street
Sure, by mistake.

Hit a stationary object while parking
Once, another car. Guy was there, no harm done, carry on.

Take risks (overtaking, fast acceleration)
Nope. Had too many close calls because of other's stupidity to not take this one seriously. Only tend to drive faster if I'm alone in the streets and in the car.

Suffer road rage
No, I've learned to enter a state of zen while driving. Makes everything so much easier.

Speeding
Consistently. You gotta keep up with the traffic flow. It's much more dangerous to think the entire city traffic must adapt to your way of driving. Speed limits are usually set unrealisticly low anyway, for maximum fining revenue.

Scare others while driving
Passengers or other drivers? I don't think so, in any case. Having a passenger means to me that that person's wellfare is my responsability, so I take extra care.

Number of prangs (i.e. Collisions/crashes) in the past 12 months
None, ever.

Sim/non-sim racer before getting a driving licence
Yes, the old ones. Indy 500, World Circuit, Test Drive, a few Papyrus titles etc.

Ok, so I bought a camera and have been taking some pictures. Just testing and learning how this thing works. I'd be interested in some feedback on what I'm doing wrong (or right, if any). Here's a few shots:

And, of course, the cat...

The rest is here. Thanks!

Hahah

Damn, my risking didn't really pay off, even with Petrov in third. Damn Toro Rossos gained too much with Sauber's failure.

And the season is about to start. Finally!

I'm taking some risks with my team, fingers crossed. Also, no question this time?

Sunday for me as well, as in weekdays I'll be working while you guys play.

I personally enjoy longer races as well, long enough that you'd be able to trade a pit stop for fuel/tyres by not pushing too hard (or pushing and having to pit) - something like a 103% fuel distance.

A one-team game today, the outcome couldn't be different. And also great stuff from Shakhtar Donetsk!

Quote from DevilDare :Dear oh dear...

Why is it so hard to be an Arsenal fan.

To be honest I'm glad they lost. I'm glad they lost the Carling Cup and I'll be glad if they lose the other trophies. It seems to me they just care about "being there" and generating revenue rather than winning. Of course no one would ever admit that, but it's the idea I get following them.

I'm not an Arsenal fan but I enjoy good football, and they usually provide it.

Loved it.

We had a similar situation here with hundreads of dead and many thousands of homeless, only the cause was a crap combination of torrential rain and houses built in dodgy areas.

It's as bad as it can get, I hope all you guys recover and can move on as fast and un-painful as possible.

I would guess that should be enough for 100+ fps.

No no, you have to interpret the clock speed as "x cores, each running at yGHz". They're independent. Meaning the Phenon will have 2 cores, each one running at 3,2GHz while the Sempron has only one at 2,7GHz. The Phenom WILL be faster and you'll also have and extra core for background programs and stuff.

Sorry about the confusion.

Edit: I suppose the Sempron would be alright for 20fps. I play on a laptop which is an AMD Turion 2,1GHz and integrated video (pretty much the same as the HD4250). The frame rate goes down pretty badly on full grid starts but it's playable (playing at 1440x900 resolution here).
I'd take 60fps on starts any day though, if I could.

If I was building this just for LFS (which you said you are), then I'd go for the one you posted first. I don't check those things for ages so I hope I'm not talking rubbish, but I'm positive the difference between the Phenom II and Sempron will be greater than the difference between the HD4250 and the GeForce 6600. For LFS, that is.

Or I'd slightly change it:
Going with an AMD Athlon II x2 would still be pretty fast and save you some euros. Probably not enough for a discrete video card but maybe enough for a motherboard with more dedicated video memory.

Finally saw Black Swan yesterday.

I'm kind of shocked. It's so stunningly beautiful, and then chaotically horrifying. Not sure if that makes sense. I loved it.
